History Of Cove Youth F C

Cove Youth Football Club is an FA Charter Standard Club which is committed to the development of junior football in the Farnborough, Camberley, Fleet and surrounding areas.

It was formed in 2004 by Steve Hull who wanted to run a youth football club that was more about the kids and fun and less about making money and winning. With two others he approached Cove Football Club with the idea of them starting a youth section. The then Chairman and Club President agreed and the Cove Youth Football Club was formed.

By the start of season 2004/5 Cove Youth FC had 4 teams at under under 7, 10, 11 and 12 and within three seasons the number of teams had grown to 22.

In order to gain FA Charter Standard a Mission Statement was produced that describes how Cove Youth FC is run and it is -
"We encourage the playing of organised football for children of all levels of ability, within the under 6 to under 21 age groups, in accordance with the Football Association Laws of the Game and Laws of Mini-soccer and to promote honesty, fairness and good sportsmanship for all.

With the leadership and assistance of our senior team Cove FC, we have a structure to ensure that there is a progression from junior to senior football. Our volunteers are extremely experienced in coaching and have attended the required Emergency Aid and Child Protection courses and are also CRB checked." Our ethos is simple - "football is fun for both the players and supporters"
