Our first home game of the season, saw us trying to hold up our amazing 8-0 win away, we were some players down and had to play around with positions. but 4-0 up in the 1st quarter gave us lots of confidence to move forward, some amazing play through the middle, pushing it our to our wingers, the game finally ended 11-0 to Cove, This weeks MoM awarded to Harry Ware for 2 goals, 2 assists and about 100 tackles in the midfield, well done Harry. By the 3rd quarter we were 9-0 up and let our goalie come out for a run around, this also gave us chance to try out people in different positions, i think this is what kept the score down and the only shots on target at our end coming in the 4th quarter. Brilliant performance by the Lions once again. 7 of our 11 players getting goals and/or assist, including our Goalie :) We are riding high at the moment, but know we will have tougher games to follow. Back to training on Thursday and looking forward to next weekends away match. C'mon you Lions

We have had some mixed results in the pre-season friendlies with 1 draw, 1 loss and 1 win, but last weeks 17-1 away Win was enough to give the guys confidence goin into the new season. A quick start saw the Lions score in the first 2 minutes, followed by a 2nd goal 2 minutes later. The away goalie then woke up and made some amazing saves to keep the score down, but the Lions pushed on and got a 3rd before half time. We made some changes using our subs at half time to make sure everyone got good game time and we controlled the match, with the away team only have 3 shots on goal the entire game, we eventually walked away worthy 8-0 winners, with 5 different scorers, a hat-trick from Ewan Murray (last years top goal scorer) and 9 of our 13 players either scoring or assisting, in what was a great team performance, this weeks MoM was awarded by our Captain Sam Pope to Charlie Howard, for a solid defensive performance, bring on next weeks game, the Lions are buzzing and all played well, a very proud coaching team, well done and C'mon you Lions
